Remember when you asked me what the most Australian song was? I changed my mind.
“The Angels tried three times in the late 1970s and early 1980s to make a hit out of the song Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again?, but it wasn’t until the song played live attracted, in the mid-1980s, a chant response from the audience (to the question posed in the song title), that the song became an iconic part of Australian culture.
The audience chant response, “No way, get fucked, fuck off”, has now become the most famous audience chant in Australian rock history.”
This is spectacular. Way to redeem yourself, Australia.
Told you so
From Brian Juergens’ review of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby:
Worst of all, it’s a love story that’s impossible to get swept up in, because it’s not actually being told – we’re expected to come to the film already understanding the core romance so that more time can be spent on ADD car chases (yes, there are several)…
Me, yesterday:
It’s easy to get excited about The Great Gatsby 3D when you realize it’s a prequel in the Fast & Furious franchise.

I have a reoccurring nightmare and it’s that scene in Super High Me when Doug Benson and Sarah Silverman are smoking weed while Dave Navarro is just sitting there, not saying anything, jamming on an acoustic guitar and in my dream I’M DAVE NAVARRO JUST JAMMING AWAY LIKE EVERYONE JUST WANTS TO GET HIGH AND LISTEN TO ME, DAVE NAVARRO, NOT WEAR A SHIRT AND PLAY A DAVE MATTHEWS SONG OR SOMETHING OH GOD HOW DID IT COME TO THIS.
"It’s like Wolfram Alpha, but for people from high school you barely tolerate."

I finished BioShock Infinite this week, and I could write a lot about it, most of which has already been said. So I’ll just say the music is really great in it.
