Meet The New Sony Store, Same As The Old Sony Store

The real problem — which I’m not sure either Sony or Microsoft really understand — is that simply building stores which look like Apple Stores isn’t enough. It’s the Apple products in them that make them successful.

I agree with this — it’s hard not to — but one of the biggest problems with the Sony Style Stores is, in my experience, that they’re largely staffed by middle-aged men wearing suits who work on commission and don’t give a shit about anyone walking through the doors unless they’re holding their wallet out in front of them.

Changing the stores is a good move to actually try to get people into them, but yes, the root of the problem still exists.
